Some sessions don’t feel like work. They feel like stepping into someone’s world for a moment… and realizing everything inside it just fits.

Woods Alexander Branagin was born on February 28, 2026, and from the very beginning, his story carried pieces of the people who love him most. His middle name honors his mom’s maiden name, a soft thread tying past to present. And his first name?

“His first name just came to us,” she said.

“Appropriately so… our first date was a spontaneous 6-hour hike.”

A name that feels a little wild, a little grounded, and completely meant to be.

Before the session even began, you could feel it… this wasn’t just about a new baby. This was about a family reshaping itself in the gentlest way.

When Trevor met Woods, it wasn’t hesitation or curiosity—it was joy.

“ALL smiles!! Trevor met Woods when he was just 1 minute old.”

And that connection hasn’t faded. If anything, it’s grown into something even softer. During their session, one of the most meaningful moments wasn’t posed or planned—it was simply Trevor holding Woods, fully present, fully proud. The kind of moment that quietly says, this is my person.

For mom, this season feels bigger than just bringing home a newborn. It’s watching the people she loves step into new roles.

“Watching Ren become a father to a newborn… and watching Trevor become a big brother. Our family feels so whole now.”

There’s something about that word—whole.

Like everything finally clicked into place.

And yet, newborn life has a way of reminding you just how much you forget.

“How much of the newborn things you forget until you have a newborn again.”

The tiny details return all at once—the weight of them, the softness, the way time feels slower and faster all at the same time.

They described this season of life simply and perfectly:

Beautiful. Complete. Smitten.

That’s exactly what it looked like, too.

Not forced. Not overstyled. Just real connection. Quiet moments. A baby wrapped up in love so naturally it didn’t need direction.

One of her favorite moments from the session was simple:

“Watching Trevor, Woods, and Ren all take their photos together.”

Three boys. Three different roles. One story unfolding.

But the moment that stuck with her most?

“Seeing Trevor’s sweet face when he got to take pictures with just he & Woods… they’re my entire world. And to see that brotherly love melts my mama heart.”

That’s the kind of thing you can’t stage. You just witness it… and hold onto it.

When Woods looks back at these photos someday, she hopes he sees exactly what filled the room that day:

“How much he is loved and what joy he brings to our family.”

And maybe even more than that… she hopes he feels it.

Because this season—this brand new, slightly sleepy, completely love-soaked chapter—is fleeting.

“This newborn season and how fresh everything feels.”

If you had to sum it all up in one sentence, she already did:

“Woods is the sweetest little answered prayer, for all of us.”

And honestly… that says everything.

There’s something so sacred about these first days—the quiet, the closeness, the overwhelming kind of love you can’t quite put into words. Being invited into that space, trusted to capture it, is something I will never take lightly. I am endlessly grateful for every family who chooses me to tell their story. If you’re in this season of life, I would love to help you hold onto it forever through timeless, heartfelt imagery.
