Do you shoot destination weddings?
A.Absolutely! I am always down to pack my camera and hit the road. Destination weddings are available anywhere in the US and beyond. Travel & accommodations are quoted separately based on your location. Send me details & let's go somewhere beautiful.
Will there be a second shooter?
A.A second photographer is included with all 8 and 10 hour wedding packages. For 4 and 6 hour weddings, a second photographer can be added for $150/hour. This is a great option if you want extra angles, more candid moments, or coverage of both partners getting ready at the same time.
Can I extend the session on the day of?
A.Absolutely. If you decide you need a little more time on your wedding day, additional coverage can be added for $150/hour with one photographer. If your package includes a second photographer and you'd like to extend coverage for both additional time is $300/hour.
Do I have to order prints through you?
A.You can! Your online gallery is connected to a professional print shop, making it easy to order prints, canvases, and more directly from your gallery. You'll also receive printing rights, so you are welcome to print your images wherever you choose.
Do you require a booking retainer?
A.Yes! A non-refundable retainer is required at booking to officially reserve your session date and time. Your session is not considered booked until the retainer and signed contract are received. The remaining balance is due according to the payment terms in your contract.
What is your reschedule policy?
A.One complimentary reschedule is allowed with at least 48 hours' notice. additional reschedules may require a new retainer. If your session requires a reserved location or permit, any fees required to cancel, change, or rebook that reservation are the client's responsibility and must be paid prior to the new date being reserved.
Do you offer special mini sessions or holiday sessions?
A.Limited-time mini sessions and holiday set-ups are announced exclusively on my Facebook page. Follow Em Captures Moments on Facebook to stay updated on upcoming dates and special pricing.
Minis are not customizable.
When should I book my newborn session?
A.Newborn sessions are best booked during pregnancy to make sure I have availability around your due date. We will reserve your session based on your estimated due date and finalize the actual date once baby arrives.
When are newborn photos typically taken?
A.Posed newborn sessions are typically photographed within the first 1-3 weeks after birth when baby is still sleepy and curly. I typically prefer between 5-14 days old. However, every baby is different, and beautiful newborn photos can absolutely be captured outside of that window.
What if my baby doesn't sleep during the session?
A.That's completely okay! Newborn sessions are baby-led, which means we take our time for feeding, soothing, changing, and snuggles whenever needed. Not even baby sleeps the entire session, and we'll work with whatever baby gives us.
Do I need to bring anything to my newborn session?
A.I provide wraps, props, and everything needed for baby's setups. You'll receive information before your session on what to bring and how to prepare.
What's the difference between posed and lifestyle newborn sessions?
A.Posed newborn sessions focus on baby with carefully styled wraps, props, and poses. Lifestyle newborn sessions are more relaxed and connection-focused with baby and family photographed together and minimal posing or setups.
