There are moments in life that make you pause for a second and think, “Is this really happening?”
Seeing one of my photographs featured in the Red & Pink Edition of Shutter Up Magazine was one of those moments for me.
Photography started as something deeply personal. I simply wanted to capture the tiny seasons of life that pass too quickly. The sleepy newborn stretches, the quiet moments between parents and their babies, the soft details that families want to remember forever.
So, when I saw my work printed in a magazine, it felt surreal.
The Photograph
The image chosen for the feature is one of my favorite newborn portraits. Sweet baby Delilah is wrapped in soft pink, peacefully asleep while delicate greenery and tiny pink blossoms frame her.
The goal of this setup was to create something gentle and timeless. I wanted the scene to feel soft and dreamy, almost like she was resting in a little nest of florals.
Newborn sessions are always special because these moments pass so quickly. Babies change in the blink of an EYE AND capturing them during those first tiny days is something families treasure forever.
Why This Feature Means So Much
Being included in Shutter Up Magazine is such an honor, especially as I continue building Em Captures Moments here in Indiana.
Every session, every family, and every little newborn I photograph is part of this journey. Moments like this remind me how grateful I am that families trust me to capture their memories.
